WordPress¶
WordPress is a free, open-source content management system (CMS) that allows users to create and manage websites and blogs. It was first released in 2003 and has since become one of the most popular CMS platforms in the world, powering over 40% of all websites on the internet.
WordPress is known for its user-friendly interface, flexibility, and customization options. It allows users to choose from thousands of themes and plugins to create a unique and functional website that meets their specific needs.
WordPress is written in PHP and uses a MySQL database to store content. It can be installed on a web server and used to create a website, blog, or online store. WordPress also has a large community of developers and users who create and share themes, plugins, and other resources to help users get the most out of the platform.
